A Nation Bursts Into Laughter As White House Responds To Comey By Declaring Trump Isn’t A Liar

The president emerges defiant after James B. Comey’s harsh
testimony to Congress, saying he is vindicated and targeting Mr.
Comey for leaking private talks.

Say a person lies repeatedly. He tells whopper after whopper, repeating them even after they’re shown to be complete fabrications. He insists that “3 to 5 million” fraudulent votes were cast against him in the presidential election, without a shred of evidence ever turning up. He says his predecessor wiretapped him, again without any evidence. He has claimed he heard Arabs cheer when the World Trade Center went down, that Barack Obama wasn’t born in America, that vaccinations cause autism, that climate change is a hoax.
He has made so many bogus claims that fact-checkers are numb, reporters aren't surprised by anything that comes out of his mouth, and late-night comedians are awash in material.
Now suppose there’s a factual dispute between this serial liar and someone else – say, a former director of the FBI. Whom would you trust to be telling the truth? Suppose the serial liar said he’d be “100 percent” willing to provide his version under oath. How much weight does that carry?
What do you think?

The country burst out laughing as the White House Deputy Press Secretary hid off camera for the press briefing while announcing that she can say “definitively” that Trump “is not a liar.”
After James Comey had called President Trump a liar While testifying before the Senate, Trump White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in an off-camera briefing, “I can definitively say the President is not a liar.”

"I can definitively say the President is not a liar" - Sarah Huckabee Sanders says in off-camera briefing at the White House

While testifying before the Senate, former FBI Director James Comey called President Trump a liar while discussing the reasons the White House gave for his firing.
The White House’s claim that Trump isn’t a liar is itself a lie. Trump is the biggest liar in presidential history. PolitiFact found that only 17% of Trump’s statements are true. There has never been a president with a more extensively proven track record of lying than Donald Trump. For the White House to stand in front of the country and defend Trump’s honesty, it demonstrates that no one working at the White House has a single shred of credibility.

U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders — US Senator for Vermont

re put in place after the last financial crisis. Over and over again as a candidate, Trump told the American people that he was a different kind of Republican. He said that he was going to stop Wall Street from getting away with murder. Unfortunately, Trump was not telling the truth, since Republicans are once again choosing to protect corporations over the American people. You’re not standing up for working families by deregulating the same financial institutions that nearly destroyed the economy nine years ago. Our job: reinstate Glass-Steagall and break up the big banks that ruined our economy.

Because the GOP & Wall Street ENGINEERED the last near-crash, they are voting en bloc to enrich themselves AGAIN ---at YOUR expense.

Hug him tight Paul Baby! Ya might need him when the money laundering comes out....ya never know....ya think Drumpf has any loyalty? Think again.
The fact that Paul Ryan completely dismisses this as just Trump's ignorance is as damning of Ryan as of Trump.

House Speaker Paul Ryan demonstrated two things Thursday:
popular vote loser Donald Trump is not fit to be president, and
Ryan is not fit for his own job. While…

For weeks, Donald Trump's allies said he didn't do what he's accused of doing. Now, however, they have a new argument:
Maybe the president did do those things -- but it's only because he's ignorant and inexperienced.

"Ignorance of the law, in other words, may work as a credible excuse for Trump’s sycophantic boosters, but there’s no reason anyone else should accept it.
But even if someone were inclined to take the defense seriously, even if generous souls want to see Trump as an innocent, lost in the woods, completely unaware of the fact that obstructing justice is a presidential no-no, the story still falls apart given what we know about what transpired.
Remember, former FBI Director James Comey has explained that when Trump pressured him about the investigation into Michael Flynn, he did so after clearing the room after an Oval Office meeting with a series of other officials. If the president was simply naïve, and had no idea his alleged actions were improper, why did he kick potential witnesses out of the room?"

Trump will go on the record, just like he did with his taxes. Er... d'oh!
