The $110 billion arms deal to Saudi Arabia is fake news | Brookings Institution









TRUMP'S "$110B SAUDI ARMS DEAL" IS ACTUALLY TOTALLY FAKE NEWS. IT DOESN'T EXIST.
So it turns out that the so-called "$110B Arms Deal" Trump claimed that WH Intern in Chief Jared Kushner negotiated with the Saudis and Trumplethinskin "announced" with great fanfare during his trumped up visit to Saudi Arabia last month is total "vaporware".
It doesn't exist.
What it actually is are a bunch of letters of interest, not contracts, for items that the defense industry thinks the Saudis might be interested in someday and which the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the arms sales wing of the Pentagon, calls only “intended sales.” Also none of the proposed deals are new as they ALL began in and are carry overs from the Obama administration.
In other words, more totally FAKE NEWS promulgated and perpetuated by the "Prevaricator in Chief" in the Oval Office.
Last month, President Trump visited Saudi Arabia and his 
administration announced that he had concluded a $110 billion 
arms deal with the kingdom. The only problem is…
