RSN: Dan Rather | Trump's Worst Week Yet

Right after Trump won the presidential election, donation based organizations, by some media accounts, began to see huge increases in contributions and funding. That did not happen here.
We saw a brief rise in funding of about 10%. That has now given way to the steepest drop-off in funding we have ever experienced.
The largest non-profits with the best branding have launched the slickest best-coordinated fundraising campaigns and processing systems in US history. It is actually killing funding for the smaller organizations.
The irony is that our readership continues to grow as our struggle for funding grows ever more difficult. We are standing in direct and effective opposition to the rise of fascism and oligarchy as much as any organization and more than most. Please don't lose sight of that.
We are fighting tooth and nail for every donation.

Why Scientists Are Marching on Washington and More Than 400 Other Cities
Joel Achenbach, Ben Guarino and Sarah Kaplan, The Washington Post
Excerpt: "The March for Science is not a partisan event. But it's political. That's the recurring message of the organizers, who insist that this is a line the scientific community and its supporters will be able to walk. It may prove too delicate a distinction, though, when people show up in droves on Saturday with their signs and their passions."
